Since
the 60th ratification of the Rome Statute on
11 April 2002
, the International Criminal
Court is a certainty. The Statute will now enter into force on
1 July 2002
. On this day, the Court’s
jurisdiction over the crimes in the Rome Statute officially takes effect. The Women’s Caucus for Gender
Justice invites you to a roundtable discussion and brainstorming session
on ways forward.

Brainstorming
Session with colleagues from different sectors including women’s human rights,
disarmament, anti-globalization, peace-building and reproductive rights who will
help launch the discussions with ideas about how the ICC relates to their areas
of work as well as obstacles and/or strategies for incorporating it into the
advocacy.

your questions, answers and ideas and be a part of this historic moment as the
world’s first permanent international criminal court comes into being with
women playing a full and vital part in its creation!
