THE PROGRAM AND SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
TOKYO 2000: Women’s International War Crimes Tribunal and Public Hearing on Current War Crimes
Nov. 29, 2000 - In London, Paris, Berlin: 10:00 - Comfort women supporters will hold a Press Conference and they will make a London-Paris-Berlin joint statement in support of the Tokyo Tribunal. At noon, demonstrations will be held in front of the Japanese Embassies in these three cities, and other cities around the world.
In Tokyo: 13:00 - Visit to the public administration offices of the Japanese government led by members of VAWW-NET Japan.
18:00 - Meeting for the Tribunal at Kinro-Fukushi Kaikan, Shibuya, Tel. 03-3426-2511.
19:30 - Demonstration at Shibuya.
Dec. 6, 2000 - In Tokyo: Philippine Comfort Women will give a much-awaited Press Conference immediately after hearing the judgment of a Tokyo District Court on their case.

Dec. 8 - 12, 2000 - Worldwide: LIVE WEBCAST from Tokyo of the Tribunal and Public Hearing. Details of video programming will be posted in VAWW-Net Japan’s website, at: http://www.jca.apc.org/vaww-net-japan
Dec. 9, 2000 - In Tokyo: ICC Video Presentation by the Women's Caucus for Gender Justice. In English, with simultaneous Japanese, Korean and Chinese translation.
Dec. 12, 2000 - In Tokyo: VAWW-Net-Japan Press Conference, from 1pm (13:00) to 3pm (15:00). After the judgments, there will be a demonstration-walk, and then survivors will have a meeting with members of the Diet.
In Tokyo: Symposium on the International Criminal Court and Panel Discussion, organized by the Women's Caucus for Gender Justice, from 6:30pm (18:30) to 9pm (21:00).
Dec. 2000 - In Tokyo: Sally Fisher will stage: “The Vagina Monologues”
in a venue to be announced, near the Tribunal and Public Hearing.Jan. 2001 - In Japan: NHK - Nippon Hoso Kyokai TV will air the Tribunal and Public Hearing for two nights, at the end of the month.
